Getting Around Campus
The uptown and downtown campus map contains accessibility features. Please click the ADA accessibility option to see options for accessible parking, restrooms, entrances and exits to buildings, and elevators.
Accessible Parking
State-issued ADA License Plate or Placard: Faculty, staff, and students with a Tulane parking permit and a state-issued ADA license plate or placard may park in an accessible parking space close to their campus building. Parking is not valid in reserved spaces or hourly spaces.
Medical Need Permit: Medical Need Permits may be issued to students, faculty, or staff with a short-term disability on a temporary basis. Medical Need Permits are issued when the driver does not have a state-issued ADA license plate/placard or a Tulane parking permit but needs to park on campus due to their short-term disability. Medical Need Permits allow the driver to park close to campus buildings for a temporary period not longer than 6 months without obtaining a Tulane parking permit. Medical Need Permits do not allow parking in ADA, reserved, or hourly parking spaces and cost $6/day.
For students, please contact Case Management & Victim Support Services to request a Medical Need Permit. For faculty and staff, please contact the Office for Campus Accessibility to request a Medical Need Permit.
Accessible Transportation
Tulane offers accessible shuttles that transport students, faculty, and staff to and from the Uptown and Downtown campuses. Please consult Tulane's Transportation website for shuttle schedules.
Tulane also offers on-demand rides through Passiogo. Use of Passiogo requires downloading the Passiogo app and is only available for students, faculty, and staff. Individuals can pre-schedule rides in the Passiogo app. Rides operate in a designated region surrounding the Tulane campuses. Please consult Tulane's On Demand Transit website for use of Passiogo, the service schedule, and additional information.
