Creating accessible digital content is a shared responsibility that supports inclusive teaching, learning equity, and compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Tulane’s Digital Accessibility Core Competencies highlight the essential skills faculty and staff can use to ensure course materials and digital resources are usable by all learners, including those who rely on assistive technologies.

Each competency provides practical techniques that can be incorporated into everyday workflows in less than a minute, shifting accessibility "to the left" into the design phase, reducing the need for remediation post deployment.
