The Accessibility Work Group is dedicated to the mission to eliminate barriers, advocate for inclusion, and ensure access for every member of our community. It was formed as part of the Tulane Strategy for Tomorrow, a university-wide strategic planning process to guide our equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and anti-racism initiatives - Strategic Priority 1 - to build equitable relationships amongst Tulane, local, regional, and global communities; Objective 2 - to increase awareness of and access to resources within schools and campus units at Tulane that advance EDI; Action 2 - to establish collaborative campus partnerships to increase attention to disability and digital accessibility.
The purpose of the Accessibility Work Group is to:
- address and support institutional accessibility for all students, faculty, and staff with disabilities;

create barrier-free and universally accessible environments for all of the Tulane community;

promote the use of accessible electronic materials and technology; and

advance awareness & compliance with accessibility laws and standards as per Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
