Getting Around Campus
Accessibility features have been added to the campus map; you can click the ADA accessibility option and see ADA parking, ADA restrooms, accessible entrances to buildings, and elevators.
Accessible Parking
Tulane University provides accessible parking. Please review the following information for placards and permits required for the uptown campus.
State-issued License Plate or Placard: Faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors with a valid Tulane parking permit and a state-issued ADA license plate or placard may park in an ADA parking space or a legal space close to their campus building. Permits are not valid in reserved spaces or hourly spaces.
Medical Need Permit: Medical Need permits may be issued to students, faculty, or staff members who suffer a short-term disability that limits or impairs their ability to walk. Parking Services has partnered with the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility to support faculty, staff, and students with a medical need to park close to campus buildings (rather than just areas where their parking permit is valid) when they do not have a state-issued ADA license plate or placard. Please contact the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility, if you are requesting a Medical Need permit. These permits do not allow parking in ADA, reserved, or hourly parking spaces. Those who do not already have an annual parking permit must pay for daily parking, $5/day.
If you have questions or require assistance purchasing an accessible permit, please contact parking@tulane.edu.
Accessible Transportation
Here are a few accessible transportation options to assist disabled members of our Tulane community.
TransLōc On-Demand Transportation
Tulane TransLōc On Demand serves the Tulane community around our campuses and surrounding areas. Service must be requested through the TransLōc On Demand app or online at: https://ondemand.transloc.com.
The Tulane TransLōc On Demand transit app provides Tulane University students, staff, and faculty the convenience of requesting ride-share style transportation within specified regions and time frames via their single sign-on (SSO) Tulane credentials.
Some Tulane locations are restricted to users working at that location. Tulane affiliates do not have access to TransLōc On Demand services.
The times TransLōc On Demand is available depending on whether a ride is needed during academic semesters or summer/winter breaks.
* if you need accessible transportation, please contact the Office for Campus Accessibility (employees) ADAaccess@tulane.edu or the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility (students) goldman@tulane.edu.
